Project Homeless Connect is an event that strives to connect the homeless with a variety of services and information available right here in Lincoln. On October 23, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Center for People in Need, agencies from across Lincoln will gather in one place to connect with Lincoln's homeless population.

Nebraska Wesleyan University is working in conjunction with the Lincoln Homeless Coalition to recruit volunteers for this event. We need your help - please sign up to volunteer today!

Want to Volunteer?
First Step: Check and see if you are available for volunteer training and the day of the event
(Volunteer training: Oct. 22nd at 6:00 p.m. or Oct. 23 at 8:30 a.m. at the Center for People in Need, 3901 N 27th St)
(Project Homeless Connect Event: Oct.23rd 10-3pm (day is divided into shifts)

GEORGE
George Gibbs has spent the better part of his life serving his country in Vietnam and his fellow Vietnam soldiers back at home. In 1969, George Gibbs was a college graduate and expectant father when he was drafted and sent to Vietnam. For a brief time he served as a clerk and though he was offered an officer track he declined, preferring instead to “remain with the men.”
